Joost or it didn't happen

OK. So I am a Joost whore. And where did I get it? From Random Good Things; a great blog added to my feed list a long time ago. I still haven't stopped playing Desktop Defense. Maybe I will if TV comes back.

See, we got rid of the television. Exactly because services like Joost were on the way. And here we go!

Since the holidays my time has been frittered away by The Structure of Man. Riven sure knows his chops. The DVDs are ordered and the craptastic quailty of Youtube will be avoided. Not like I didn't do 95 of them already. Has it improved my sketching of the human figure? Did I ever sketch the human figure before? Not really. But it sure is fun creating illusions that appear to be certain objects with a scratching motion. Next project: Soos.

Collaboration

Great ideas can be disseminated. However the rub comes with the finer points of execution. And when I mean finer, I mean the details. All the details. Specific whose, whats and whens, generally. Who's account can you take for expertise? Long time narrow and deep views? Shallow and broad overview casts opining away at every observation? The average street goer is as good as any in my book. Oh, and I will.

The more the merrier. Or at least effective. Well, maybe not so effective, but gratifying. And gratifying in a good way. Inclusion is preferred over control; at least I say that to myself now and again.

Modal choice and the associated meta data

Through what lens/filter does one view the world? What processes develop associated meta data that assist the function of threat detection and guided social interactions? Ooooo, big thinkin' for a Monday. The modal view for this week is filtered by Holidays, Family, and this great documentary called "The Woman Who Thinks Like a Cow". I began to believe through watching this video that I may be affected by a minor Asperger's or something. In fact, thinking about it further, all people have this function of thought but the human mind is a superset of these processes. [Stewie Ha!] Like I said, big thinking today.

Stack of Hay

I observe a bifurcation of those that choose to search through the hay for the proverbial needle and those that opt out. In essence, there is so much more information available than ever before, timely and comely. How can one look away? One must be brainwashed, afraid, or obstinate (shoot me a comment if you think of any more).
